Do in Corbett
Entry 'Permits' are necessary for entering the Corbett Tiger Reserve.
Please enter the park only after getting taking the necessary permits and follow all the rules
strictly.
Please get services of officially registered Nature Guides that the Park has trained for tourist
benefit. The official guide will help to you in spotting wildlife and ensuring that you do not
lose your way in the forest.
Tourists are requires to carry a litter bag while entering the park any bring back their
non-biodegradable garbage like plastic, bottle, metal foils, tin can etc. Outside the park
Respect the wild animals and maintain a safe distance from them. Remember, you are in their home
and they get first priority.
Listen to the music of the forest instead of stereo or transistor. This will provide you the
chances of seeing wildlife.
Please wear dull colored clothes which merge with the natural surroundings like khaki, olive
green and some other less bright color otherwise most wild animals can flee.
Wild animals are the actual asset of the park, respect and maintain a safe distance from them
Please switch off lights, fans and water taps when not in use
Drive slowly in the Park. Keep to the specified roads and trails. Driving off track you may
trample growing trees and cause disturbance to resting animals and their young.
Please obtain compulsory clearance certificate before leaving your place of residence within the
Corbett Tiger Reserve
Maximum two adults and two children (below 12 years) per room is allowed to stay in the tourist
zone, so arrange your excursion as per the availability of rooms.
Don'ts in Corbett
Don't carry any kind of guns within the Tiger Reserve, it is strictly
prohibited. Feel free to shoot with a camera instead.
Do not smoke or light any kind of fires in the forest. Accidental fires can destroy this
wonderful jungle in no time.
Driving after the sunset is strictly prohibited inside the reserve.
Cooking is not allowed inside the National Park.
Do not play any kind of transistors and tape recorders
Don't get off your vehicle at any point in the Park except where it's allowed. This is for your
own safety and the safety of wildlife.
Do not take your vehicles off the designated routes thereby causing damage to plant or animal
Do not blow horns and driving above the speed limit is strictly prohibited
Take care of zones as entry in to the restricted zone by visitors is prohibited Shouting,
teasing or attempt to feed animals are prohibited and will invite severe penalties
Non vegetarian food and alcohol is strictly prohibited within the Corbett Tiger Reserve
Do not enter the National Park after the sunset
Your permit to the National Park is non transferable so do not try any kind of unfair means
Help keep the park pollution-free. While inside the park, please put your entire
non-biodegradable litter (tin cans, plastic, glass bottles, metal foils etc.) into the bag
provided and dispose of it on your way out.
Note: You are governed by the rules and regulation of the Wildlife Protection Act inside Corbett
Tiger Reserve so follow all.
